Green Bay Wedding at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and The Ravine
On a mid-July summer Saturday, Ashlea and I arrived at Prince of Peace Catholic Church well ahead of Jess and her ladies. I eagerly anticipated her arrival with a huge, beaming smile and she didn’t disappoint as she bounced through the church doors! Soon Jess’s ladies had helped her step into her white gown and lace up her bright blue heels prepping her for the most anticipated, joyful walk of her life so far. Jess soon walked out of the bridal suite to meet her dad and the moment was a mix of smiles and joyful, yet nostalgic tears. The ushers opened the church doors wide and Jess was greeted with a beautiful scene of family and friends and Jake at the end of the aisle, waiting to take her hand and say “I do” before God. Father’s homily was filled with the sweetest, most sincere words that Jessica and Jake had written about each other, leaving everyone’s hearts full of hope and love. Side note…you can always count on this photographer to be weeping a full face of tears during a homily because I am truly happy this day has finally arrived for my couples and I firmly believe in the commitment of marriage. I’ll admit the tears were rolling pretty hard listening to Father speak to Jess & Jake!
The celebration continued after another walk down the aisle, this time as husband and wife, and their fun, playful personalities ensured Ashlea and I captured memorable images for them to cherish for years to come. It’s so fun photographing the after ceremony images, not just to remember how pretty everyone looked on their wedding day, but to document a couple and the moments they share every day.
Jess and Jake, I wish you both the best in the years ahead and as you walk hand-in-hand on your journey, may it always be filled with love and happiness!
-All the best,
